Intocable (Spanish for ‘Untouchable’) is an American Norteno and Tejano music group from Zapata, Texas. The band was formed in 1994 and quickly rose to fame in the Tejano and Norteno communities for their signature sound that fused Tejano’s powerful conjunto and Norteno’s folk rhythms with pop balladry. They are considered the most influential group in Tejano music, as their distinct sound has become the blueprint for dozens of groups that have emerged onto the scene since their formation. Intocable has won several music awards including two Grammy Awards.
